Teva emerged on the shores of the Grand Canyon in 1984, when a resourceful river guide strapped two Velcro watchbands to a pair of old flip-flops to prevent them floating off downstream. And just like that, the original sport sandal was born.
In the years following, Teva has retained the same pioneering spirit and continues to celebrate the freedom to explore.
As enduring as they are timeless, Teva's signature straps are continually reimagined in a variety of patterns, dreamt up by designers from around the globe. Since 2020, all iconic straps across the entire product range are made from traceable, verifiable recycled plastic. Teva want those who come after us to have the freedom to explore the outdoors tomorrow, so they're reducing their footprint today.
